Get Dodami

Keep the same Dodami on your phone’s home screen, every new tab, and the corner of your desktop. Already growing one? Link the new place with a 6-digit code or QR and keep the same garden.

The browser extension and desktop widget are betas, not yet in any store. You install them from the files below, and the desktop app is not code-signed yet, so your OS shows a warning the first time. Link a second kind of device within your first few days to receive the Linked Pot.

Web and phone

Available now

Open the garden in your browser and you are in. Add it to your home screen to open it like an app; on iPhone, notifications need it on the home screen.

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

  1. Open the garden in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button (bottom; top on iPad).
  3. Choose “Add to Home Screen”, then “Add”.

Android (Chrome)

  1. Open the garden in Chrome.
  2. Tap the menu (⋮) at the top right.
  3. Choose “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”.

Computer (Chrome, Edge, Whale)

  1. Open the garden in your browser.
  2. Click the install icon at the right of the address bar, or pick the install item in the menu.
  3. Click “Install” and Dodami opens in its own window.

Browser extension

Beta · direct install

Dodami greets you on every new tab. The search box stays, and the extension has no ads. Until it is listed in the stores, install it directly as below.

Chrome · Edge · Whale

  • Files are being prepared. They will appear here as soon as they are uploaded.
  1. Download the zip and unzip it.
  2. Open the extensions page: chrome://extensions, edge://extensions or whale://extensions
  3. Turn on “Developer mode”.
  4. Click “Load unpacked” and choose the unzipped folder.

Directly installed extensions do not update automatically. Reinstall the same way when a new beta is out.

Firefox

  • Files are being prepared. They will appear here as soon as they are uploaded.
  1. Download the Firefox file (no need to unzip).
  2. Go to about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox.
  3. Click “Load Temporary Add-on…” and choose the downloaded file.

Temporary add-ons are removed when Firefox restarts. Until the listing is live, load it again after each restart.

Desktop widget

Beta · not code-signed

It grows quietly in the corner of your screen while you work, with no ads. This beta is not code-signed yet, so your OS warns you the first time you open it. Only run files downloaded from this page.

macOS (DMG)

  • Files are being prepared. They will appear here as soon as they are uploaded.
  1. Open the DMG and drag Dodami into Applications.
  2. macOS 14 or earlier: right-click (Control-click) Dodami in Finder, choose “Open”, then “Open” again in the warning.
  3. macOS 15 or later: open it once and close the warning, then click “Open Anyway” in System Settings > Privacy & Security.

Windows

  • Files are being prepared. They will appear here as soon as they are uploaded.
  1. Download and run the installer.
  2. If “Windows protected your PC” appears, click “More info”.
  3. Click “Run anyway” to start the installer.

Linux

  • Files are being prepared. They will appear here as soon as they are uploaded.

Linux builds are best-effort betas. Install them the usual way for the file type.

Check the file

Compare the SHA-256 shown for each file with your download to make sure it was not altered: shasum -a 256 file on macOS and Linux, or certutil -hashfile file SHA256 on Windows.
